Supporting Janet Whitehead's Healing Journey

Information on activities to support our friend to be healthy and happy

The 5 Why’s

WHAT: Silent Auction and fundraising events of Local Arts, Oddities and More!

WHEN: Ongoing!!!

WHERE: On this lovely website maintained by folks in Kamloops, B.C.

WHO: Everyone is welcome! Please spread the word.

WHY: Janet Whitehead is a local potter, grandmother, and owner of Musings and Mud Life Coaching Studio, who has touched many lives with a sprinkle of magic. For six years, Janet has hosted creativity workshops to help one change his life for the better. Through clay play, spilling paint, asking questions, and being silly, much needed answers have been found for locals and others worldwide.

Several months ago, Janet was faced unexpected detour in her adventurous life, when she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer.

This one night event is intended to be a fun time for the whole family. Enjoy the unique space of The Art We Are, drink, eat delicious (and healthy) food, and check out the incredible listed auction items.

As Kamloops artists are graciously donating brilliant artworks, handmade earrings, concert tickets, gift certificates for Reiki healing and house hold construction, other artists whom Janet has reached through her business are mailing incredible pieces every day.  From New Brunswick, to the Grand Bahamas, the warmth of this global community is shining through to lift up this amazing woman. It is only fitting, as she has lifted up so many of us through her coaching and friendship.

Janet was acknowledged at the Mayors Gala for the Arts in January 2012 and received recognition of artistic and cultural achievements and contributions to the arts and culture community in the category of artistic innovation.

All of the proceeds from this event will go to Janet’s health care and living costs. Please bring a few friends and come celebrate an excellent cause. As Liz Connors, from Burbank CA, said, “Here is to a woman who’s musical voice sings directly to the soul, awakening the creative force within; to the teacher with boundless compassion who can gently lead past the scariest of blocks. Here’s to Janet!”
